Firstly I’d like to thank a very generous family who has kindly purchased and donated in memory of their baby boy a selection of neurodiverse children’s books for our school library. 

In the coming weeks teachers will be sharing these with our students. 

Book Week

Is next week!!!! We are all very excited to be participating in many fun and engaging activities. 

Monday 22/8Whole school mixed groups- shared reading of Picture book nominations.
Tuesday 23/8

Come to school in your Pjs, with your favourite book and teddy. 

Hot chocolates provided.

Author Visit: Nadine Rabah (ex School Captain and author) 

Thursday 25/8Students share with their  buddy a favourite book and a dream they have for their future. 
Friday 26/8 

Whole school assembly at 9am. Community dress up as their favourite character/ or of a dream they have. 

Sacred Heart voting of favourite picture book announced. 

We can not wait to see all the students dressed up and participating in all the activities. 

 

Premier's Reading Challenge 2022

The children are well and truly engaged in the Premier’s Reading challenge! It is so exciting to see more than 97 students participating. Currently the children have read collectively 1189 books! AMAZING effort!

The challenge ends 2nd September, the children will tell you that the challenge for their age group is as follows:

Prep - Yr 2 30 books

Yr 3- Yr 6 15 books 

Keep up the reading Sacred Heart!!
