Term 2 Week 2
Week 2 was a fun filled week at OSHC as most weeks tend to be at the Playhouse.
We were treated to an art show created by a group of boys who have been making some cool pieces by weaving grasses found outside. After cutting the string to open the show, students and educators were taken on a tour of the pieces, which were very impressive!
In the kitchen busy bakers made blueberry muffins with Wendy and Olivia and pizza and cheese and vegemite scrolls with Kate for our take home snack.
Tom and Sam ran a 2 round AFL match as requested by the students. All students demonstrated good team work and good sportsmanship which was great to see, getting around to celebrate each other when a goal was kicked.
In the second room students were playing in the home/office corner or taking it easy with a book. On Thursday Tom and one of our students planned a 'Construction Day' where students got busy building masterpieces using a variety of mediums, LEGO, different sized blocks and Mechano.
Coming up this week we have Parenting Week which celebrates the special adults in the students lives. All special take home snacks are offered to the adult who picks up children and a range of craft activities are on offer.
