From the Principal
To the Blue Mountains Grammar School Community,
I hope this Newsletter finds you well. Right now, we are experiencing an exciting time at our school, both locally and globally. Educators worldwide are on high alert as to new possibilities and potential shifts in the place of schools. No doubt, these times are transformative and, as we navigate them, it becomes increasingly important to take the time to strategise and plan for our future. With that in mind, I want to advise you of our upcoming Annual Board strategic planning day.
This particular day is a cornerstone for our school's growth and development. It is a time when our dedicated Board, in collaboration with the school executive, comes together to envision and shape the next 1, 3, and 5 years of our story. Through courageous and prudent planning and deliberate decision-making, we can lay the foundation for the exceptional educational experience we offer to our students.
The annual Board strategic planning day allows us to pause, reflect, and explore new possibilities. It will enable us to rise above the day-to-day operations and gain clarity on how best to serve our community. By engaging in open discussions and leveraging our collective wisdom, we can identify innovative strategies to meet the evolving needs of our students and the broader community.
We will delve into critical areas during this day, including our educational programs, infrastructure development, technological advancements, student support services, and community engagement initiatives. Together, we will explore ways to strengthen our strengths and address areas for improvement, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality and future-ready education.
As a preemptive strike, I would like to thank the people who serve on our Board. Each of them comes from a particular career skill set, and they contribute freely to the proper governance of our School. The demands of being on a school Board are extensive and usually consume many hours on top of their already busy lives. And yet still, they contribute in ways that are invaluable to the running of our School. I am thankful for their contribution.
Soon after this day, I will communicate some of the key points we discussed, along with the strategic decisions that we have made so that you, like us, can build the anticipation of exciting things for our school.
Warm regards,
Mr Steven Coote
Principal
