Chess Simul

Monday 8 May

For the second time this year, Mordialloc College was put to the challenge by International Chess Master Leonid Sandler in a chess simul. Leonid has the capability to challenge all of us at the same time and many students have been eagerly awaiting this challenge each term.

Noteworthy performances included Zander Howell (9E) using the black pieces who ended the session with a winning advantage (see photo on left).

Toby Wolff (9I) and Aarav Paul (9D) were also commended by Leonid on the day.

These are our best results yet against Leonid! We look forward to more positive outcomes against Leonid in future chess simuls.
