Citizenship Club

Members of the Citizenship Club were delighted to meet with Mrs Beryl Hulme to thank her personally for her generous donation of gifts to our Mother's Day Stall. The students commented on the care that she had taken with the presentation of the gifts and the wide variety of choices that she had provided. Mrs Hulme was taken with the beautifully decorated envelope and the thoughtful messages in her card.

BPS Signing Club

On Wednesday the 31st of May the Boambee Public School Signing Club participated in the Coffs Harbour and District Eisteddfod, along with five other schools from our area. 

The students signed “My Island Home” by Christine Anu, in Auslan. The song incorporated many Aboriginal/Auslan signs.

This was an inspiring and encouraging event for the Deaf Community and for our students from Boambee Public School. The event was a wonderful example of inclusiveness and communication for all.

Gardening Club

One of our wonderful parents, Mi Mi McNicol has organised the donation of two new chicken coops from Coffs Harbour Bunnings. On Friday, Lee picked up the coops and will arrange construction with the help of our students, over the next few weeks. A huge thank you to Mi Mi and also Kirsty and Josh from Bunnings. We will keep you updated on the construction and installation!
