Principal's Report

Kevin Gleeson

Welcome to Term Two!

Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome back! I hope all families had a happy Easter and an enjoyable holiday.

We have a very busy Term Two with many events planned including: The Sacrament of Confirmation for our Year Six students, St Fidelis’ Feast Day, Hot Food day, Science incursions, NAPLAN testing, Mother’s Day celebrations and Year 5/6 Camp.

Confirmation

Please remember our Year Six students in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this Friday April 21 with Bishop Terry Curtin.

St Fidelis' Feast Day

We will be celebrating St Fidelis’ Feast Day next Thursday April 27th with a whole day of celebration! Parents and friends are invited to join us for our school Mass at 9:15 a.m. The students will participate in buddy class activities and have a special Hot Food Day arranged by our P & F.  We have a special performance arranged for the students.

90th Anniversary Celebrations

Our 90th Anniversary Mass will be held at 11:00 am next Sunday, 30th April. All present and past students and families are encouraged to attend this special celebration. Following mass from 12.00 to 12.30 pm, the school will be open for families to visit the classrooms and view some old photos. This will be followed by sausage sizzle in the Parish hall. We look forward to  you at this special celebration.

School Uniform

While the weather is still fluctuating between cool and warm days the students may wear either their summer or winter uniform for the next few weeks. Students should continue to wear their school hat. From May 1st, I would like all students to wear the winter uniform.  Please note that our school jumper is compulsory and is not replaced by the bomber jacket.

School Closure Day

We have our first school closure day this term on Friday June 9. This is the Friday before the Queen’s birthday long weekend.

Please note that next Monday is a normal school day. Next Tuesday is a public holiday for ANZAC Day.

Enrolments

Our 2018 Prep enrolments closed on the last day of Term 1 however if you are an existing family and have forgotten to collect an enrolment application, I urge you to do this by the end of this week.

School Fees

Thank you to those parents who have already paid their school fees in full. Please ensure that your school fees are up to date.

I'm looking forward to a successful and rewarding Term 2.

I hope you all have a great week.

Kevin Gleeson.
