NSW All Schools Athletics

Huge congratulations to Georgia Portelli  of Year 8 who won the Gold medal in the 14 years Girls Javelin event at the NSW All Schools Athletic Championships at Homebush recently. Georgia threw 37.63m to win by almost 2m.

This success follows on from her first placings at the NSW Combined High Schools (CHS) Championships, Sydney South West (SSW) Regional Championships, Bernera Zone carnival and our own school carnival. Georgia is a star in her chosen event and we look forward to continued success in her promising future.

Oztag

Year 8 student, Danni-Elle Carnovale  was selected in the U14 Girls Wolves Oztag Representative team to compete at this year's Australian National Oztag Championships.

This team encompasses players from various districts, including Bankstown, East Hills, Fairfield, Liverpool and St George.  Danni-Elle was the first ever Fairfield female junior to be given the honour to represent the region. The team  travelled to Coffs Harbour to compete against 13 other regions from New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.

Despite torrential rain and the worst conditions the tournament had ever seen in the last ten years, the U14 Wolves Girls won all their games and drew one to gain a spot in the Grand Final. The Wolves were successful in the Grand Final defeating the Country Bulls 2-0 and becoming the  U14 Girls National Champions.  Congratulations and well done team.
