Careers News:
TERM 3 is VTAC application time. All Year 12 students who haven’t already done so are invited to schedule a careers appointment with Josie Albano or Marj Peel. VTAC applications open on Monday 1 August and we would anticipate that all Year 12 students apply for a post school position by the last day of Term3. Josie and Marj will be available everyday this term to help students with the application process.
VTAC will no longer be printing copies of the VTAC guide and have replaced these with the new VTACmag. The College has ordered a copy of the magazine for all Year 12 students and theses will be distributed to all Year 12’s by the end of this month in preparation for VTAC applications which open for 2016 on Monday 5 August.

SEAS- SPECIAL ENTRY ACCESS PROGRAM:
Category 1: Personal information & location
(As simple as ticking a box)
Category 2: Difficult circumstances.
E.g. disruption to living situation, affected by illness or death of relative/friend)
Category 3: Disadvantaged financial background
Will require evidence such as Centerlink customer reference number.
Category 4: Disability or medical condition
Will require a personal impact statement and statement of support.
VTAC Scholarships
VTAC collects scholarship applications for many institutions.
One application, many scholarships. Scholarships are not just for academic performance. Many equity scholarships have similar documentation requirements to SEAS. Statements must be submitted separately for each using correct coversheet. List of scholarships available on VTAC website.
ALTERNATIVE APPLICATION PROCESS AT CATHOLIC REGFIONAL COLLEGE SYDENHAM
ACU – EARLY ACHIEVERS APPLICATION- *based on community service/volunteer work. Apply on ACU website. Reduces ATAR requirements.
LA TROBE UNIVERSITY – ASPIRE APPLICATION- *based on community service/volunteer work. Apply on La Trobe university website – currently open & closes on 31 August. Reduces ATAR requirements.
VICTORIA UNIVERSITY –PPP PROGRAM- *put in a SEAS application (Category 1) and add your name to a list outside Josie/ Marj’s office. Reduces ATAR requirements significantly.
RMIT – SNAP PROGRAM - *put in a SEAS application (Category 1) and add your name to a list outside Josie/ Marj’s office. Reduces ATAR requirements.
MONASH- MONASH GUARANTEE AND SPECIAL ACCESS SCHEME- *put in a SEAS application (Category 1) and add your name to a list outside Josie/ Marj’s office. Reduces ATAR requirements.
