TRUGANINI Cluster News

Welcome back to Truganini for Term 3. Last term finished really positively with Truganini competing in the grand final of Cluster sports soccer. It was a fine effort to reach the last game after numerous competitive matches between the other clusters. Unfortunately both the girls and the boys were beaten by Chang cluster and so we came runner up. Congratulations to all participants as you wore the yellow strip with great pride throughout the term. This week begins another round of cluster sports in volleyball. We wish all students the very best as they endeavour to win these upcoming rounds.

During the second term, some students were also involved in extra-curricular activities. In particular, Karina Levchenkova who, along with other students from diverse cultural backgrounds, sang at Victoria University College with the aim of sharing their personal stories in order to inspire others and promote Australian society.

In the holidays, Paul Reed took some students to East Timor with him where they worked hard at assisting the people and a local school in the region. He spoke highly of the impact that the Truganini students had on the trip. A big thankyou goes to Karina Levchenkova, Maria Abdelmessih and Nikita Alphonse.

Furthermore, Jacob Krajacic was selected to be a part of the under 19 Victorian soccer team that will be competing interstate next month. Congratulations to Jacob.

Finally, congratulations to the whole Cluster in the way everyone worked hard at finishing Term 2. We look forward to an eventful third term.

Many thanks
