Loving the Library @ MSC

Last week  Sherie Halil, our Library Manager, was invited to attend the Australian Library and Information Association National Conference to share information about the genres we have introduced in our library.  Sherie was proud to explain how we have been progressively improving access to our collection for our students and the positive impact the changes have made.  It was a great opportunity to share ideas and network with others in the library industry so that we can continue to expand on the services we provide here at Melton Secondary College.

It is almost the time of the year when we begin to organize the library for our annual stock take. We require all student loans back by Friday, 6 December so that we can complete the end of year procedures in the library.

Please encourage your child to return everything from the school library.  Email and mail will be sent home to families to highlight items that are still outstanding.  If your child would like to discuss these further, they can speak to a member of the library team by coming in or calling 9743 3322.

The library is open from 8.30am – 4.30pm. Recess and lunchtime are for schoolwork, study or independent reading.  We are now offering a DVD loan service.  Students may borrow 4 items on a fortnightly basis and are able to re-borrow if required.
