Assistant Principals' Report

Mr Alan Devine

This year, as a college we continued our focus on promoting our five STARR values of Success, Team Work, Ambition, Respect and Responsibility. The Student Leaders, led by Tom Nice, focused on the promotion of these values within the school community. The College Values are now displayed all around the college in classrooms, offices and in outdoor areas to ensure each member of our community knows and upholds these values.

However, to make sure everyone knew how to achieve our values, each term we focused on a particular value. In term one we focused on Responsibility, term two Teamwork, term three Respect and term four Ambition. Each term focus was launched at a whole school assembly, where as a community we learned how we can achieve our college value and agreed to working towards them.

Understanding and achieving our College STARR values is an important part of being a member of the Melton Secondary College community. Furthermore, knowing and living by strong values gives each of us guidance in making good decisions.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hogmanay to everyone!
