KCC Hockey

Congratulations to all the boys who played for Kildare in the CWWHS Boys Hockey competition. The first game was against KHS and due to work placement, we were missing a number of our players. The boys fought hard but went down 3 - 0. Some excellent keeping by Jack Laurent and defence by Connor Gaffney. The second game was against TRAC. Once again the boys were a little short but managed to score the first goal. They eventually went down 3 - 1 after some great defence by Tim Banks, Will Donoghue and forward play by Blake Robertson and Rheece Jamieson. The third game was against the eventual winners Wagga High. With a few of the boys back from work placement the boys fought hard but lost 5 - 1. A great game by Jack Mason and Josh Cochrane. The final game was against MDCC. With Logan Wilford and Mitch Kinder playing we nearly had a full team. The boys all played very well and managed to come away with a 1-0 win. A huge effort by all the boys who turned up every game and showed exceptional sportsmanship. Thank you to all the boys from other schools who offered to play for our team when we were short, to the parents and big sisters for their support and to Ashleigh Jamieson for umpiring.
