All Schools Netball

Regional Final

On Thursday 3rd August, our Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 netball teams competed at the NSW All Schools Netball Regional Final. Both teams went through the rounds undefeated playing teams from all around the Riverina including Griffith, Albury, Tumut, Gundagai, Cootamundra and Temora. Both teams advanced through to the grand final after convincing semi final wins.

Our Year 9/10 team played Wade High School from Griffith in the grand final. Wade High were too good on the day beating us by four goals in very wet conditions. In the Year 7/8 grand final, Kildare played McAuley Central School from Tumut. The girls played an exceptional game of netball in very wet conditions, beating McAuley by two goals in a very tight contest.

Congratulations to our Year 7/8 team who now progress through to the State Cup Final which will be held at the Netball NSW Headquarters in Olympic Park in September.  We wish them the best of luck.

A big thank you to Alice Toohey (Year 9) and Ellie Crozier (Year 9) who did an awesome job umpiring for us.
