Open High School Awards

Congratulations to Diego Cuadro-Garrot (HSC Spanish Continuers Course) and Alec Vinci (HSC German Beginners Course) who today were awarded Certificates of Merit and High Academic Achievement from Open High School. Both Alec and Diego have been wonderful embassadors for Language learning at the College and demonstrate the Colleges Motto “Faith et Labore”, achieving recognition for their hard work and devotion to their independent Language studies.

Chinese Spectacular DVDs

A big thank you to our parents who have responded and requested copies of the Chinese Spectacular DVD’s. The payment has been made on your behalf and we would appreciate parents sending the $20 payment to the Administration Office. The DVDs will hopefully arrive at the school prior to the Christmas break.

Willowood Performance

Thank you to the Vocal Ensemble who gave of their time on Monday afternoon to entertain the residents of Willowood Nursing Home with a Christmas Carol sing-a-long! A great time was had by all.

Twilight Concert

The final concert for the year is on Friday 2nd December, commencing at 5.00pm in the Junior School playground. All Music ensembles will be performing. The Performing Arts Parents Association will be manning the barbeques and there will be a Christmas raffle. Please join us to celebrate the end of another satisfying and busy year for Performing Arts at St Pius X College.

As it is a busy time of year I have posted the program on the Performing Arts Noticeboard, so that boys can check when their group is performing. Consequently, if you have another event to attend on this night, your son should be able to give you a rough idea of when his commitment to his ensemble takes place.

2017 Instrumental Tuition

Applications are still being taken for tuition in 2017. A form is available on the College website and should be emailed to Ms Bates TBates@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au BEFORE Monday 5th December. The cost of tuition in 2017 is $45.00 per half hour individual lesson.

AMEB Results

Congratulations to Christopher Dimos (Year 6) who achieved a credit in Grade 2 Trumpet and Xavier Dimos (Year 9) who also achieved a credit in Grade 5 Euphonium. Well done boys!
