Our annual KWS Music Festival will now be held on Thursday 29 July, in the DPA, having been cancelled for Thursday 10 June due to heavy snow. The Music Festival is the main event for co-curricular ensembles for the year and it is an expectation that students be in attendance.
Further details regarding the change in date for this event will be emailed to families of students involved and those who have purchased tickets. Should you have questions or concerns, please contact the Music Administrator, Sharon Martin, at performingarts@kws.nsw.edu.au
Year 9 and 10 Music and Drama classes will be showcasing their talents in two upcoming evening performances. Further details will be emailed to parents soon.
Featuring an original story, The Addams Family, is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family. In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family, to be sad is to be happy, to feel pain is to feel joy, and death and suffering are the stuff of their dreams.
Directed by Alex Dunkley, the KWS 2021 musical features Jonty King in the quirky lead role of Gomez Addams. His lovely, morbid wife Morticia is played by Catie Crisp. Their daughter, Wednesday is played by Ella Andrews. She teams up with her onstage boyfriend, Cale Slack-Smith in the role of Lucas. Kate Dowd, Duncan Holland, Charlie Hall, Sam Durkin, Ethan Kairaitis and Oscar McLaughlin also star, alongside 30 vibrant chorus dancers to bring you a hilarious and energetic piece of musical theatre.
Bookings can be made through Ticketek via the Orange Civic Theatre or click on the link below. It will be an enjoyable evening for the whole family!
