From Bernadette Phelps

Following research around ANZAC Day earlier this term, children across the school have been studying Aboriginal authors and literature. A particular focus has been on authors Sally Morgan and Bronwyn Bancroft. We have compared their storytelling techniques and their artistic styles. Students have been looking at the culture and law that is passed down through Indigenous stories. We have researched the symbols used in Aboriginal art and storytelling.

Most children have been diligently returning and borrowing fresh books throughout this term. We would like to remind families that books need to be cared for with a protective bag for transport to and from school.
