Specialist News: Visual Arts

We are excited to present to you a snapshot of artworks we created this year, as well as some selected works from last year including the Lockdown times. It has been rewarding to see the progression in skill, particularly in terms of tool handling and experimentation with different media.

We recently introduced our 5/6 students to the work of Brett Whitely and the work the students produced in response was most impressive. Quite a few of those pieces have made their way into our Art Show - ink only just dried on those works.

Similarly, the 1/2 students have been introduced to working with blue ink and created detailed and skillful wave paintings based on the book ‘Jack and the Flum Flum Tree’ by the ever witty and wise Julian Donaldson. We look forward to seeing you on Open Night. If you can’t make it on the day, you can view the work from Tuesday to Friday (25-28 May).
