Individual Education Plans and Student Support Group Meetings

Student Support Group meetings were held last week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thank you to all parents, carers and staff members involved. It was great to see student voice coming through in the Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and it was exciting to have some of our senior students present in the meetings. Classroom teachers have completed IEPs for students who are achieving more than twelve months ahead or six or more months behind the expected standard. You will have already received a plan for your child if they come into these categories. As I highlighted in my recent ‘Spotlight on IEPs’, our teachers are continually assessing and working with all students so that they can achieve their individual goals.

Celebrating Education Support Staff

Every day, education support (ES) staff work to keep our schools running, support our students to learn and our teachers to teach. On Education Support Staff Day - and every day - we wish to thank our ES for everything they do. We are so grateful to have you! We will be having our own celebratory 'ES Staff Day' on Friday May 28.

Head Lice Checks

With your permission, head lice checks happened on Friday after Senior Assembly. Regular head lice checks performed by our fantastic group of parents help to control if not eradicate head lice from MPRPS. Thank you to our volunteers Mais (Co-ordinator), Nileema, Jess, Emily, Joelene, Carly, Rick, Justine, Sarah and Min, for their time and effort in making this happen.
