School Production

Congratulations to the cast, crew and creative team on a fabulously witty, delightfully funny run of performances of ‘She Stoops To Conquer’. After two final weeks of preparation and intensive rehearsals at the start of this term, the cast and crew put on six shows to enthusiastic crowds, including a performance to Laburnum Primary’s Grade 6 cohort who enjoyed seeing some of their older siblings on stage! I am immensely proud of the efforts of our cast and crew; no matter whether it was the first run of the day or the tenth, the energy levels, professionalism and talent never faltered. 

Hearing the laughs of the audience and seeing the actors bring their characters to life under the watchful eye of our tech crew expertly managing sound, lighting, props and cues was such a rewarding experience for me and for our producer, Grace De Blasio. Judging by students’ reluctance to leave and the amount of hugging and joyful tears after the final show, it was equally rewarding for all involved. 

We look forward to working with more students on next years’ show.
