Student Representative Council (SRC) Update

After a tumultuous 2020, the SRC has had an eventful year so far. Amongst other behind-the-scenes preparations, this term we’ve been involved in Athletics day as well as the school production.

We began our fundraising events with a bang at the school production, ‘She Stoops to Conquer” through the sale of refreshments to the masses who came to watch the show over the five performances. During this time, we also had the annual Athletics Carnival in which we held a barbecue.

We ended the term with a pin ceremony for all of the SRC which Ms Pillay attended.

Thank you to those who supported these endeavors as it will help fund the SRC’s main projects for the year, such as a school podcast as well as a planned garden.

Keep an eye out for more events in the coming term, as well as some more fundraisers!

House Captains Update

The athletics carnival was a successful day for Box Hill High School! Everyone got involved in events from high jumping to relay races to fun novelty events.

As House Captains, we ran the novelty events including the gumboot throw, tug of war and three-legged races, with students from every year level joining in the fun. It was great to see the house spirit from students when cheering for their respective houses! Even us house captains displayed our strength in a game of tug of war against each other!

We concluded the day with the presentation of the house cup, announcing Blue House as the winners of the day. Points were as follows:

1st – Blue House (914)

2nd – Red House (866)

3rd – Yellow House (793)

4th – Green House (604)

Thanks to everyone who got involved to earn points for their house and cheer on their house teammates. It was such a fun day!
