Elizabeth Hayes Week

Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate the life of Mother Mary Ignatius (Elizabeth) Hayes, founder of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. As part of our celebration of her extraordinary faith, vision and courage, we unveiled the Elizabeth Hayes icon which will be displayed in the Elizabeth Hayes Learning Centre.

We extend our thanks to Sr Catherine White, Australian Leader of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters, for speaking to us about the global work the Missionary Franciscan Sisters continue to do - all of which would not be possible without the vision of Elizabeth Hayes.
