Casual Caretaker

Mentone Girls’ Secondary College requires a caretaker / facilities assistant to ensure our school is ready for learning each school day. Before staff and students arrive you will unlock gates and doors then check the grounds and buildings are in order. Tasks could include ad hoc garden maintenance, sweeping, picking up litter, checking toilets are functioning and reporting issues to the Facilities Manager.

It would be for two hours each day during term between 6am and 8.30am – negotiable. The rate is $36.76 per hour. There is opportunity for this role to have expanded hours and responsibilities for the right candidate. A Working with Children Check is required. 

We think it would suit someone living locally, who likes an early start with their day free.
