The Grade 2's have begun creating their own superheroes for our Open Cycle literacy unit. Students created a picture of their own superhero character and listed adjectives to describe their character's appearance and inner qualities.

Digital Technology Term 2 Week 10

In Foundation this term the students will be continuing their learning of basic functions of the computer.  The will expand on their knowledge of the iPad.  Students will be using the iPad to take photos and video and then use them for presentations.  Finally students will be learning about how to use and control robots which move by inputting directional instructions.  

Students in grades 1 and 2 will be learning how to take photos and video with special effects.  They will learn how to edit photos and video.  Also students will be learning how to code robots with a variety of instructions to make them move in different directions.  Students will continue to improve their typing skills and learning to be cybersafe.  

Grade 3 to 6 will be learning be learning how to use a Digital SLR camera.  Students will be learning about basic functions of a camera including focus and exposure.  They will use these skills to create various content that can be use for websites and PowerPoint presentations.  Also students will learn how to use a variety of robots for the purpose of navigation and problem solving.  

Science
