Sub School News

Welcome back to Term 2. We hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday break with your family.

We would like to introduce our school community to our new Chaplain, Linda!

Linda has a background in social work and youth work and has experience with counselling for children.

Some things that Linda can support students with include:

- Concerns with social connections

- School refusal

- Concerns with confidence and self-esteem

- Beginning to show signs of anxiety, depression

- Coping strategies

Complex and/or long-term mental health concerns in children should be addressed through psychological intervention and is not within the scope of the Chaplain role.

We have a jam packed term ahead with excursions, camps and lots of events coming up. This week our Year 4, 5 and 6 students attended their water sfety program at PARC. We have our Cross Country on Monday May 1st, Year 3 World Explorers Day and Year 5 RACV Safety Squad incursion on Wednesday May 3rd. We also have our Mother's Day Stall on the 12th of May details bel.

If you haven't already we would suggest downloading the Sentral Parent Portal App, so that you can keep up to date on news and upcoming events. This app also allows families to approve and pay for school activities online. If you do not have access to Sentral please contact your child's classroom teacher for support.

We look forward to an exciting Term 2 and working with you in continuing to support your child in their learning.
