Shapes, Shapes, Shapes
To begin Term Two the Year 3/4 students have been learning about shapes and transformations of shapes. We began by rotating (turning), translating (sliding) and reflecting (flipping) shapes. This week we have been exploring the properties and features of two-dimensional shapes. Next week we will be identifying the properties and features of three-dimensional objects as well as matching 3D objects to their nets.
To show their knowledge of 2D shapes students made a shape using toothpicks and identified how many corners and sides each shape had.
