JAPANESE

During Term 1, many of our Japanese students took part in this year's Education Perfect World Language Championship. Over 2,500 schools and 200,000 students competed in the worldwide language learning competition which has students work though questions of varying difficulty,  applying their linguistic skills.

Healesville High School finished in 10th position in Japanese  from a total of  246 schools that competed. Congratulations to the students below who achieve particularly impressive results:

  • Lily Beeby - Emerald Award (50th place worldwide & top 1.5% of all competitors)
  • Amelia Smith - Silver Award
  • Grace Hodgson - Silver Award
  • Olivia Walsh - Bronze Award
  • Sarah Woodhouse - Bronze Award

The results across the school were so impressive that an article appeared  the Starmail Mountain Views Newspaper.
