ANZAC Day
On April 25th at 5:30am, a large number of Healesville High School students and staff proudly took part in the Dawn Service at Healesville RSL. Many members of our school bands were involved in the service, performing a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.
Our Captains, Connor Fallon and Natalia Macpherson-Daykin read the poems 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae and 'Remembrance' by Frederick George Scott to mark the occasion. Both were praised for their involvement in the service. The service was a beautiful tribute to our ANZACs and a community event our school is proud to be a part of.
Back at school, many of our students also recognised the occasion by producing several batches of ANZAC biscuits that were shared and enjoyed by the school community. Many junior students also completed an ANZAC Day quiz in their classes to reinforce the real meaning behind the day.
