STARS

As we have just concluded Term 1 2023, we thought now would be an ideal opportunity to acknowledge students who have been nominated by a staff member for a STAR award. Congratulations to these students and thank you for the respect, positivity, endeavour and sense of community that you bring to our school.

YEAR 7 - AVA BLACK

Ava has made an exceptional start to her secondary schooling and we are proud of her efforts this year. Ava was nominated for always trying her best in and out of class and doing so with a positive attitude. Ava was age group champion at both the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals this year, she has already received 13 'Green Slips' from her teachers and she volunteered her time to visit a number of primary schools and talk to students about our great learning community. Well done on your exceptional start to the year, you should be very proud of yourself, Ava.

YEAR 7 - JOSH HAMILTON

Those of you who attended our school Open Night this year would agree, Josh did an exceptional job in delivering his speech about his start to high school. Josh volunteered for this job, showing off the confident and helpful good nature that served him well last year as School Captain at Healesville Primary School. Josh has been very active at both the Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, securing a number of ribbons and he managed to achieve fourth place for his age in the school Cross Country. He has participated in interschool cricket and just like Ava, he was happy to volunteer his time to promote Healesville High School to local primary schools. Josh has already received 15 'Green Slips' this year for his effort, resilience and community spirit. Well done, Josh! You are a star and we are lucky to have you as a member of our school community.

YEAR 7 - ELLA KELLS

Ella is described by several of her teachers as a caring, considerate and in general a brilliant student to have in the class. She consistently goes out of her way to make sure everyone is feeling OK and clearly demonstrates the four school values of 'Respect', 'Responsibility', 'Relationships' and 'Teamwork'. She has already received 13 'Green Slips' from her teachers demonstrating the amazing student and person that she is. Ella also volunteered her time at Open Night and put herself out of her comfort zone by taking on the role of school tour guide. Well done, Ella! Thank you for the positivity you bring to our community.
