Student Wellbeing
Student Wellbeing
What a great start to 2023, I have really enjoyed getting to know all the students, staff and families here at Healesville High School.
The wellbeing of our students is a key priority for Healesville High School. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. The Wellbeing staff work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and guardians, along with community organisations and local providers to offer students access to support.
The Student Wellbeing team can help students with personal problems such as mental health, advice/recommendations and referrals to external support services, social issues, bullying/ friendship issues, drug and alcohol use, self-esteem and resilience.
You can access social workers, counsellors, Headspace Support, AOD counselling, adolescent health nurse and the Doctors in Secondary Schools Program.
Doctors in Secondary Schools Program
Do you know about our Doctors in Secondary Schools Program? They provide health care to secondary students. This is a state government initiative to make primary health care more accessible to students to help reduce the pressure on parents and families assisting young people to address health issues early.
We have doctors and nurses who come to our school every Tuesday from 9.30am to 1.30pm, they are located at the Health Hub which is adjacent to the Student Wellbeing area.
You can make an appointment by popping down to Wellbeing to see Hilda Ellis or for parents and guardians by calling Hilda on (03) 5962 4088 or emailing hilda.ellis@education.vic.gov.au
