Fair Wrap Up
Thank you to everyone who joined the Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony on Friday and all the Fair fun!
What a day it was on Saturday! Based on the buzzing energy from the rides to the main stage to the activities and the sports clinics, it looked like the kids had a ball! Huge thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the day.
Here’s a snapshot of the Fair by the numbers:
- 530+ Fair Wristbands sold
- Over 13,000 Fair Tickets sold
- 105kg hot chips eaten
- 683 fairy floss sticks
- 1000 sausages sold
- Over 1500 goes at the Choc Toss
- Almost 400 kids’ faces painted
- 200+ toys adopted and now in loving homes
- 9 Raffle Prize winners
- And last but not least the Jellis Craig Auction for an Auction raising $20,000 for the school!
We’ll be able to share the total amount raised soon, but it’s safe to say the Fair raised more money than expected and it will be of great benefit to FPS.
From when we started planning just over four months ago, our aims for the Fair were to:
- Put on a great event for FPS kids & families
- Keep it simple
- Raise funds for the school
We think we ticked the boxes on these, but would love to hear your feedback. You can email fairfieldps.fair@gmail.com or alternatively there’ll be a survey sent out next term.
Before we wrap up, there’s a few items for collection from the foyer or the bike shed area, including eskies & green bins. Please make sure you collect these before the end of term!
Thanks again FPS!
