Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships

Hi Everyone! My name is Mim and this year I've taken on a new role at HVS teaching RRRR and Sexuality Education across all year levels. I am very excited about this opportunity and I believe our students will benefit from a whole school approach to this program.

In a typical RRRR lesson, you'll see some circle time, singing, puppetry, picture books, role play, AAC modelling, discussions and activities covering various topics and themes. All 8 topics in RRRR will be covered over a 2 year cycle so all students will experience the program fully. 

So far students have been busy learning about how to understand themselves and other people. We've been exploring emotions, zones of regulation, greetings, communication, reading facial expressions and body language. We are also learning about friendship and inclusion alongside school values. I hope you enjoyed the pictures above.
