Inquiry

We had our first chance of doing a presentation in front of the class. We had to bring in different items to talk about our family, our past, our future and something about us that is different from everyone else. It was a great chance to use a big voice when speaking to a group and using eye contact.

Kelly Sports

We have loved Kelly Sports this term, playing different games and learning different skills.

Our favourite game was volleyball.

Easter

This week has been very busy in preparation for Easter including taking our Easter photo, making Easter cards for our buddies, making an Easter gift for our parents, making Easter baskets and doing an Easter hunt.

Kelly Sports

Last week we had our final Kelly Sports session for the Term with Rylee.  WOW  - we had so much fun. Throughout the session we did sack races, egg and spoon relays and noodle relays. There was lots of laughter and happy faces. We have enjoyed each Kelly Sports session this Term and can’t wait to see what fun activities we will have after the holidays.

Maths

We have been learning about 2 Dimensional (2D) shapes.  2D shapes are flat and cannot be physically held, because they have no depth; a 2D shape is completely flat. With a partner we completed a 2D shape hunt in our classroom and in the playground to see how many 2D shapes we could find and identify their names.

Inquiry

To conclude our unit the students created questions related to topics that were raised throughout the unit, Growing Older and Wiser. The students each had a year 5 / 6 buddy to present a question. We were very thankful for the great responses  and the opportunity to work with the senior students.

Easter and end of term Message

To conclude our term we have been learning about Holy Week by reading, watching  and creating the sequence of events that lead up to Easter.  We have also been creating some non traditional Easter crafts and enjoyed an Easter hunt after creating our baskets
