French 

Bonjour!

We have some exciting news, we are adding French to the list of languages taught here at Doncaster Primary School! 

What an exciting opportunity for our Year 5 and Year 6 students. Did you know that French is spoken in over 29 countries in the world?

The fête de la musique is fast approaching, the 21st June is not just the longest day of the year but also the day of the “festival of music” all around the world!

Created in France in 1982, it has been taken up by neighbouring countries where it has been just as successful. Music takes over the city's streets, with live bands, singers, amateur musicians, drummers, DJs and so on scattered throughout the city, expressing themselves through music and inviting the crowd to enjoy themselves. Stages spring up all over Paris in public areas and locals get to enjoy free concerts. How cool!
