EMC Performing Arts
Congratulations Bindana PAC Specialist dancer Ava Scott who was top 12 out of 52 dancers at the recent Australia wide Cecchetti Young Dancers Award and a Victorian Bronze Medal Test finalist. We are so proud of Ava who have put so much work and practice into her ballet at the Joanne O‘Kelly School of Dance in Langwarrin as well as keeping up to date with her school work. Ava embraces the College values of excelling in dedication, effort and commitment.
We wish Ava luck as she prepares for the Australian Ballet School Scholarship competition.
On 29 March, the EMC VET Dancers attended a VET Dance Industry Day and it was so much fun! We joined more than 200 students from around Victoria at the Space Dance and Arts Centre in Prahan for a jam-packed day of dance-making workshops, performances and mock auditions. We did, Broadway, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, and Lyrical dance. In the afternoon, we took part in mock auditions and what we learnt in the dance-making workshops. We got lots of info on post-school training options. It was a massive day of dancing, learning and building connections for everyone involved.
