Remembrance Day

On Monday we remembered with thanksgiving those who made the supreme sacrifice in time of war. We pray that the offering of their lives may not have been in vain. We continue to dedicate ourselves to the cause of justice, freedom and peace; and for the wisdom and strength to build a better world.

We are grateful to Lieutenant Andrew Proy for joining us at our Remembrance day Service and for visiting some of the classes.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. With the setting of the sun, and in the morning we will                                                 remember them.

School Governance in Catholic Schools

Commencing in 2021 a new governance model of Catholic schools in Melbourne will be introduced across the Archdiocese.

Under the current governance model the Parish Priest is the employer of Principals, teachers and school staff and as such is the governing body of the school.

A consultation process has now commenced where parish priests work closely together with principals, parents and Catholic Education Melbourne to develop and implement this new model.

I will aim to keep the community up-to-date with the progress of this process and the implications it may have on our school in future years.

Year 4 Camp

Next Thursday 21st November our Year 4 students will be heading to Stringybark Lodge Camp in Gembrook for an overnight camp. This adventure camp will be a wonderful outdoor education experience for our children and a lead-in to our 5/6 camp program in the coming years.
