PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

From the Principal

Dear Parents, and Friends,

This week at our school assembly, we had the annual presentation of our high achieving students from last year. Students who achieved the highest study score for each subject, as well as those whom achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, which places them in the top ten percent of students in the state, were presented to the school.

I wish to congratulate those students on their achievement and to thank them for their hard work and commitment to their studies.

Last year’s Dux, JJ Ng, and past International Student Captains, Duke and Joanna Nguyen, addressed the school. Their message was simple, their success was born from taking every opportunity that came their way, and by working hard. The challenge for parents and teachers is how do we motivate young people to do that?

Parents and teachers should be always thinking about how to encourage our children to dream bigger. This is important because it lets us talk to our young people about what is possible, and how to achieve it. By allowing our young people to dream, we help them develop aspirations. You might say an aspiration is a dream made concrete. Once the dream is made concrete, a pathway for actions can be outlined to achieve it.

So, in celebrating our high achievers who dreamed big and achieved their aspirations, I invite you to encourage your child to do the same.  As a school, we are here to support you and help you guide your child to establishing a concrete pathway that will lead to success.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Minack
