Year 5/6

Year 5/6

This term the Year 5/6 students have been participating in the Kindness Challenge along with the staff. Each day, one of the Year 5/6 teachers reveals a new challenge from the kindness tree that's outside the Year 5/6 area. We get a new challenge every day, up to the last day of school. When we do something kind to someone from the kindness challenge it makes them feel happy and warm inside, which then causes us to feel the same way knowing that we’ve made someone’s day.  Here are some examples of past challenges:

We have also been learning how to be grateful and the positive effects it has on your mind and body.  Did you know that being grateful can help you sleep better and even improve how happy you are?

5/6EA have been making a graffiti wall using gratitude quotes. Everyone chose a quote, for example ‘The struggle ends where the gratitude begins’ - Nelson Donald Walsh. We then had to write a quote and decorate around it. Some people decided to colour and others decided to paint, but they all look amazing so far!
