Sunraysia students’ team approach solves STEM problems

Jess Crisp, of Merbein P-10 College, and Deniz Karakaya, of Red Cliffs Secondary College, tackle a problem at STEM Day at SuniTAFE.

Working as a team, thinking outside the box and confidence were all key skills needed for students at the STEM for Sunraysia event last week.

More than 70 Year 9 students from six Sunraysia high schools took part in the second annual event, which was held by SuniTAFE in conjunction with Northern Mallee Local Learning and Employment Network.

Progress Reports

The next round of student progress reports are due to be issued to families next week.  Please note that there will be no hard copy sent home for these reports. They will be distributed via Compass.  If your family does not currently have access to Compass please get in touch with the school as soon as possible to ensure that you can access this important information about your child’s progress.

Doctors in Schools Unavailable

The doctor that was attending for our Doctors in Schools program is now unavailable to come to our school. Unfortunately this means that we do not have a doctor in the school so students are unable to make appointments at this stage. Our local Primary Health Network is working to find us a new doctor for this important program. Students and families will be informed via the newsletter and Compass when we have a new doctor and students are able to make appointments again.
