Book Club Orders

Book Club orders and money are due back on Monday 21st October. Parents also have the option of ordering online.
All orders are delivered to the school.
Lost Lunch Containers

There is a basket full of containers at Reception in the Green Learning Centre.
These have steadily accumulated over the last term. All containers will be disposed of on Friday.
Please check if any of them belong to your child.

Walk to School
M. Downes
Merbein P-10 College is participating in 'Walk to School' from now until the end of October. The 'Walk to School' program encourages Victorian primary school kids to walk, ride or scoot to and from school. At Merbein P-10, our students will be encouraged to participate in a walking club, walking around the school oval, starting at 8.40am every Friday for the month of October. As an extra incentive to participate students receive one free entry voucher to the Mildura Waves Pool which is posted below in this article. Families must present this voucher at The Waves during the month of October. Our school can be in the running to receive more prizes if most of our students will walk to school. So dust off your shoes and bikes and walk/ride to school this month.

Cheryll Hodge is our school’s OSHC coordinator and can be contacted on 0428 258035 if you have any queries.
Progress Reports
The next round of student progress reports are due to be issued to families next week. Please note that there will be no hard copy sent home for these reports. They will be distributed via Compass. If your family does not currently have access to Compass please get in touch with the school as soon as possible to ensure that you can access this important information about your child’s progress.
Library News
Please ensure your child returns their books each week and brings a waterproof Library Bag for their Library books on the following days.

Green Building Awards
Reminder that students in Years P-3 receive awards at a weekly assembly every Friday at 2.50pm. Families are welcome to attend these assemblies held in the Green Building. Below is a photo of last Friday's Award winners.
Merbein Community Bank School Student Banking Program
If you wish your child to participate in this program, please send your child’s bankbook along to the Green Building Office every Thursday morning. The Bank will collect and process your child’s banking and then drop the bank book back to school before the end of the school day.
No Hat No Play
During Term 4, all primary students are required to wear a hat out in the yard at recess and lunch times. The school policy is 'No Hat No Play'. If you need to purchase a hat for your child you can do so at the school's main office.
