Learning together in perfect harmony

In praise of our remote learners of the week...You are superstars!

In praise of Jai from Level 5/6PO/WA for his hard work and persistence during online and remote learning. Jai continues to put a great deal of effort into tasks provided for him and shows responsibility in his learning. He has also done a wonderful job at keeping his teacher and classmates entertained and feeling cheerful, by showing us the chickens at his mum’s shop, during our Google Hangout sessions. Well done Jai for all you have achieved!

Well done Elana Sunny from 1/2WE for a great week of online learning. We are so proud of you and the way you are constantly challenging yourself. Your work in Japanese was outstanding!

The student of  the week for 1/2AB is Christina. Christina has been doing a wonderful job of learning at home and sends her work to me.  It is so lovely to see her in the videos she sends.

Myra of (3/4BA) has done an outstanding job of being an independent learner. She is submitting all her work, completing the tasks, asking questions when not sure and most importantly keeping a sense of humour whilst learning! Her narrative stories have been a stand out and it is lovely to see that she has been striving to improve the quality with every new one. A fantastic job!

Well done Annie from 1/2KO who has been doing her work everyday and sending her videos or photos on Dojo. A fantastic effort. Great work Annie!

James and Ruth from F-PR have been working so hard from home. They are always sending Miss Prince photos of their learning and have been improving their writing skills each week.

And well done to Spencer F-PR on his amazing work!

Well done Gemma 5/6ST! Gemma was so excited about online learning that she sent me a picture of her work area before school even started!! She always displays a keen and positive attitude towards her learning, and I especially admire the way she tries to challenge herself. The work that Gemma submits is always of a high standard, evident by the photos she shares with me.

Congrats to Isabella Sayamongsa from 1/2ME - from the very first day of remote home learning Isabella has shown dedication and a willingness to participate in all learning activities. She has shared all her work in a variety of ways, being creative with photo collages and creating videos of her learning and understanding. She has now become independent and is learning to post her work by herself. Very proud of you Isabella :)

(Plus I sent another Photo of Isabella from Anzac Day last week)

Sanika 5/6FI has really enjoyed working online with our class this term. She enjoys the 'chats' we have before roll call in the morning on Google Hangouts and really looks forward to the afternoon check-ins where she enthusiastically shares her favourite activities for the day. Her work is completed carefully and diligently. Well done Sanika!!

Johnny from 3/4NG has been submitting work every single day and completing all tasks, particularly his writing pieces. He is very creative and always write with great description.

This week, I would like to congratulate Dishita from 5/6DO. Dishita has an excellent online manner and is always ready to contribute and participate during our class Google hangout sessions. Dishita demonstrates an enthusiastic and positive attitude to all of her learning and it is great to see her so engaged. This week, we have been learning about poetry - Dishita composed a deeply thoughtful Haiku poem about Spring that she should be very proud of! I was very excited to see how she presented her work using the program Canva, too! Well done, Dishita!

In praise of Sophia and Scarlet from (F-PR)! They have been working so hard every day and always send me photos of their work. Well done girls!

Well done to Kylie Nguyen from 1/2ME- Kylie has participated in remote

home learning each day with commitment and dedication. She joins in our class morning Google chat each day, she participates in each learning activity and posts her work via her Dojo portfolio each day. I am very proud of you Kylie, keep up the wonderful work.

Congratulations to Jordan Ly from (1/2GR).  Since the beginning of remote learning Jordan has been maintaining a routine to do his best school work.  He has completed every single activity and has taken feedback to make sure he edits his work.  He has also challenged himself to complete all his lessons on Reading eggs - which has been supporting his reading improvements.

Congratulations to Justice Ly - Velasquez from 1/2GR.   Justice has been working so hard to complete her online routine each day.   It's lovely to talk to her in the checkin's and our reading groups - as she makes sure she is challenging herself and doing more than her best.  Justice has worked hard on Reading Eggs to work through a volume of reading eggs lessons - which has really been helping her reading as well.

Dian's group was reading a book called A SURPRISE FOR ROXY (LLI Blue Kit). The surprise is a pizza made by Roxy's father.

Dian surprised me with making a pizza himself.

Levi Luong 1/2WE! Fantastic work Levi! We are so proud of the way you have challenged yourself to complete all learning tasks. Well done for joining in on the morning check in and the learning sessions with Miss Webb. Keep up the great work!

Wayne Hinton from 5/6FI is our most enthusiastic Google 'Meeter'. As soon as the link is posted Wayne is on our class Google Meet!!. He is always happy to participate in our class discussions, (as is his young sister Shania who starts at St. Anthony's next year!). His work is always diligently completed and of a great standard. Well done Wayne!! Keep up the great work!

In praise of Kayla in 5/6 PO/WA for always turning in ‘WOW’ work! Kayla constantly amazes me with her creativity, hard work and dedication to her learning. I always smile when I read through Kayla’s work and I see how much thought she has put into her task. She always demonstrates positivity towards online learning and is always ready to complete tasks with 100% effort. Congratulations Kayla, you should feel very proud of yourself!

Annie is this week's student of the week for 5/6 HA as she always completes her work and asks for help whenever she needs it. She has attended every Morning hangout and enjoys the time she gets to talk to her classmates. Well Done Annie!

The remote learner for the week in 1/2KO is Leyla Omanovic Sabo! Well done Leyla, fantastic effort!

This week I would like to congratulate Sheoli for her commitment to online learning. Sheoli has been to every single one of our morning Google Hangout sessions and has been positive and respectful during all of our classroom discussions. Sheoli has enjoyed 1:1 teaching sessions via Google Hangouts and also has loved coming together with other students to complete her work online. I am so proud of all of Sheoli's efforts so far and am very impressed that she continually wants to learn new things and new online skills. Check out her new skills using the website: Canva!

Well done Sheoli!

The online learner this week in 1/2AB is Felicia Ooi, who is always there working hard (a quiet achiever). Well done!
