Health and Fitness

Who is missing PE? The teachers sure are! We have been working hard together to come up with creative activities that can be completed at home by students and their families! It is really important in this time that we are all being active and having some fun!

Each day the PE teachers have created a physical activity for students to complete either individually, with their siblings or as a family. This week the activities have included a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session with Joe Wicks, a Fitness Bingo and a Scavenger Hunt. Students have been asked to take photos or videos of themselves being physically active and showing their PE teachers. Like I mentioned before, these activities are not just limited to the students we encourage you to make it a family affair!

Below are some work samples and evidence teachers have received in the first week of Term 2! The topics being covered by the students are smoking (year 7), alcohol (year 8) and performance enhancing drugs (year 9). The Head Shoulders Heart Rate... Go selective students have been learning about the skeletal system and being creative with making a skeleton from objects at around the home.

Some of the students this week were challenged to spell their name with the workout below! Are you up for the challenge? Who in your household has the easiest workout?

Keep an eye out for next week activities! We are looking forward to seeing your photos and videos of your participation!
