Administration Update

How to contact the school during term two

The college office is closed during term two and opens for appointment only, this is to limit and track the number of people coming in the school grounds due to COVID-19. Although the office is closed our staff are still working between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm to ensure all families' needs are being addressed as quickly as possible.

All communication from the school will be going out via Compass parent portal, please email through to the school email account if you need to reset your compass portal login details.

Calling the school

All calls will go to voicemail which will then be sent as an email to administration staff working remotely. Staff will be monitoring these emails on a daily basis and endeavor to call back within 24hours. It is important if you are leaving a voicemail you clearly state your name and contact number as well as the reason for calling. Please also be aware when we call back it will be on a private number. If you do feel comfortable answering a private call if might be best to email the school so communication can be via email. Administration staff will only be responding on weekdays between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm and endeavor to get back to everyone as promptly as possible.

Emailing the school

Families can also email the school email account edgars.creek.sc@education.vic.gov.au if they have questions or concerns. All emails will be responded to within 24hours. For all ICT or Compass inquiries, it is best to email us, we can then respond with instructions or log in details straight away.

Why contact the school?

The main reasons for communication are related to; on-site supervision, ICT support, and collection of items from students' lockers.

On-site supervision

All eligible families need to register for on-site supervision through the link sent from Jo via Compass. Every Wednesday Jo will send communication via Compass including a link for a google form where families can go to register their child for on-site supervision. This link is live for 24 hours and must be completed by 1:00 pm Thursday one week at a time. Once you have registered you will receive a call to ensure you meet the criteria for on-site supervision and sent the expectations of families. Once accepted families also need to complete a hard copy permission form and send it to the office before the first day of attendance.

It is imperative that all families are following the direction of the state premier, 'If students can learn from home, they must'.

ICT Support

Some families need additional ICT support including resetting usernames and passwords, loaning devices and support logging into different platforms. It is best to send through these requests via email to edgars.creek.sc@education.vic.gov.au and we can have the appropriate person contact you to assist with as soon as practicable.

Collection of items from lockers

Some families have been contacting the school to arrange a time to collect books and pencil cases from their lockers. We are more than happy to assist with this but you MUST make an appointment. Making an appointment is crucial as we need to keep a record of who is on-site each day, and we also need to ensure someone is available to let people on site as all gates and doors are locked.

Enrolment inquiries

All year 7 2021 enrolments will follow the same process as previous years. This is initially managed by primary schools and then forwarded onto secondary schools. If you are in year 6 looking to enrol please contact your primary school first and or refer to our Enrolment page on your website. *LINK
