Welcome to Class

It is fantastic to have our classrooms full again after an extended break over the summer; we have really missed having students on campus!

Being Prepared

Work readiness is a key aspect of life at the College.  Being organised and prepared for your day's activities, without the assistance of your parents, is certainly a skill many of our students need to learn and refine during their time here.  To be prepared for Class, it is important to remember the following:

  • Laptops charged overnight
  • Pencil case has all the basic requirements for classroom learning - pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, stapler, calculator, scissors, glue
  • Text books
  • File or notebooks
  • Document wallet for loose sheets

OLNA

We have two rounds of OLNA this term.  We will be using the early round (Week 5) for the Year 11 cohort to give them an opportunity to complete any outstanding assessments and create individual plans for those who still need more support to meet these requirements later in the year.  Year 12's will have their first of two opportunities to pass outstanding OLNA in Week 8 of Term 1.

Contact

If you have any concerns about your child/ren in class, either academically or otherwise, please do not hesitate to contact staff via email or leave a message with the front office for us to call you back.  Staff emails can be found via Connect or Compass.

Welcome back to our Year 12 students and a big welcome to our incoming Year 11's. Congratulations to our new cohort who have slipped beautifully into how we work together in class. We have started the term with making sure everyone's technology is logged on and working and have navigated our way around Connect to make sure we all know where and how to access important information. We tested our emails to teachers and students by sending emails introducing ourselves and giving a brief snapshot of our background.

The Year 11's have been chatting about their goals, both short and long term for their time at WACoA Cunderdin with some insightful responses to the question, "What to you hope to gain from your experience at WACoA Cunderdin?"

  • increasing my future job options
  • get exposed to a range of options to help me decide what I want to do for work
  • I'm not sure but hopefully this experience will help me decide
  • to find and make connections in the Ag industry
  • make friends and have an awesome social life
  • increase my academic ability and widen my experience in the agricultural industry
  • leave Cunderdin with some certificates and training to figure out what pathway I want to take
  • get a good reputation to increase my chances of getting a job
  • gain all my tickets to use machinery
  • gain the qualifications to get an apprenticeship after school

Wow! Some amazing responses! Class is looking forward to helping you achieve these goals.
