YEAR 6 GRADUATION
Wednesday 14 December
Next week our Year 6 students will graduate from Milgate Primary School. A wonderful celebration is planned and will include performances and making speeches about themselves and their aspirations. We are looking forward to seeing parents who will help celebrate their child’s graduation from primary school.
This is an exciting time for all students as they continue their learning journey into secondary school. We wish them all the best at secondary school and into their future. We hope many will come back and let us know how they are going, what they are doing and share their achievements with us.
Thank you to the parents whose last child is leaving Milgate PS and this year ends their association with the school. Thank you to all of them for their contributions to the school and the students’ learning – we have really appreciated it.

TEACHER PRESENCE
Alternative to teacher gifts
Milgate would like to support some of our teachers again this year who have chosen to register with Teacher Presence.
For those new to Milgate, Teacher Presence is an organisation that provides an alternative to the traditional end-of-year gift-giving.
It allows a teacher to nominate one of four charities supported by this organisation.
Families would then have the opportunity to donate to their teacher’s chosen charity, in place of the optional present they may have otherwise purchased.
Whilst our staff are very grateful for the gifts some families have chosen to give them historically, they’re also excited and inspired by the concept of giving to those less fortunate.
If you’re interested, we would encourage you to check the website to see if your child’s teacher has registered.
https://www.teacherpresence.org/
Please note that participation is completely voluntary, so you may or may not find your teacher’s name on the list – we just wanted to make you aware that some of our staff are choosing to be involved.
Many thanks.
