Vic State School Spectacular EOI
The annual Victorian State Schools Spectacular program is an invaluable performing arts opportunity for Victoria’s government primary and secondary school students.
The program showcases and unites government school communities through working towards a common goal, and has become an invaluable rite of passage for Victoria’s top young talent, and a cherished, memorable education experience for all participants... ending in a televised performance at the John Cain Arena!

Important Info:
- 16 students maximum will be accepted into this event
- Students from Years 7 - Year 10 can apply. Students will submit an EOI to partake in the event. Auditions may be required early 2023.
- No experience required!
- Successful students will be required to attend one before school rehearsal per fortnight from Week 2, Term 1 until the performance (9th Sept)
- $30 cost to cover Victorian State School Spectacular Mass Dance costume t-shirt (compulsory)
- Students to pack their own lunch and snacks to bring to rehearsals and the performance day
REHEARSALS AND SHOW DATES/TIMES
- 4 x local external full-day rehearsals 10am-2.30pm (see below)
- Monday 27th February at The Basin Primary School (students will make their own way to the venue and be dismissed from the venue) - Monday 1st May at The Basin Primary School (students will make their own way to the venue and be dismissed from the venue) - Monday 29th May at The Basin Primary School (students will make their own way to the venue and be dismissed from the venue) - Monday 4th August at HE Parker Reserve (staff and students will walk to the venue after Mentor Group, and be dismissed from the venue)
- 2 x full-day rehearsals 9am - 6pm at the John Cain Arena (Olympic Blvd, Melbourne)
- Thursday 7th September (students will make their own way to the arena and be dismissed from the arena) - Friday 8th September (students will make their own way to the arena and be dismissed from the arena)
- SHOW DAY - Saturday 9th September 10am - 10.30pm at the John Cain Arena (students will make their own way to the arena and be dismissed from the arena)
