Dance Nation

‘Danceation’ took place in the Heathmont College sport stadium early in December. Year 7 through to 9 performed dances that students have learnt throughout term four. It was a huge success with students participating to win prizes and gain scores from the lovely judges in Rob Lawrence, Kellie McDonald, Brian Vaughns and Vicki Butler. 

The overall winners of Danceation were the Year 9’s with an awesome disco performance and the most enthusiasm by far. Year 8’s were a close second nailing their Hip Hop number and rivalling the year 9’s for highest participation numbers. Year 7’s had an awesome session with Deon Nuku the Dance Director/ Victorian State Schools Spectacular bringing their SSV Breakdance program earlier in the term to master breakdancing. 

Overall, a huge effort from everyone involved in participating and making this event possible. Cannot wait for Danceation 2023!
