Year 3 and 4 Camp

Year 3 and 4 Camp

In Week 7, the Year 3 and 4 students had a wonderful camp experience at Lord Somers Camp on the Mornington Peninsula. Each year level had a 3-day camp experience that built their independence and resilience.

They tasted ‘bush tucker’ while bushwalking, investigated colourful coral and cuttlefish bones on the beach, jumped over ocean waves, solved problems together in initiative games and learnt about how to be safe at the beach. Some students were able to go kayaking while others explored the camp grounds with a scavenger hunt. Our students showed off how talented they are with an assortment of acts at the talent shows and they enjoyed a movie and popcorn on their second night at camp. On the final day of Year 3 camp, teams competed against each other in ‘Beach Olympics’, where great collaboration and sportsmanship was shown.

All children had a go at activities and we were so impressed with their resilience, respect and kindness. We saw students who thrived in a leadership role during activities and others who showed empathy and kindness towards others.

We are so proud of our Year 3 & 4 campers!
