Cyber Safety Project Reflection

As you may have heard, the year 4, 5 and 6 students had Visitors from the Cyber Safety Project on Monday the 3rd of February. The people who taught us were Trent and Sam. While they were here they taught us about privacy on the internet including social media. Furthermore, they taught us about using imaginary social media platforms called ‘Me space’, we space and see space’, as they taught us about the me space, we space and see space we learned about having an own personal space for just your information. In addition, they taught us about we space and that we can show others my info with my permission. We also got taught about the see space meaning that it’s for anyone to see it.

As it went on the students learnt to not put their first name and last name on their websites or their address for everyone to see. We also learned not to say when going somewhere because if people can see their address then they will know where you live. The students also learned to check their emails carefully because they could be hacker/scammers.

After, they told a story about Sam getting cyber bullied and how he became a target. His friend Michael became an upstander and supported him and that we need more upstanders.
