Curriculum – Creative Kids Program
We have been very busy this past week with the Creative Kids program. The children made robots using recycled materials and used their imagination to create robot play. We also used coloured sand to decorate our beautiful Mandela’s, creating different patterns.
The children went on a nature walk through the school grounds and used Australian native flowers, leaves and seeds to make collages. Using our creative skills and fine motor movements, we created amazing artwork.
We also make animals from our corn foam pebbles, to create our animals you need to wet the corn pebble slightly so that it sticks together. The imagination and talent was amazing to see how the children used their hand-eye coordinator and fine motor skills to manipulate the pebbles.
Circle Time – Discussions and Communication
We discussed Diwali festival, the Festival of Lights - the children talked about Henna painting and the food enjoyed at this time of year. We learnt about the festival and it's meaning.
