From the Library

Australia Reads

In November, Australians of all ages and from all walks of life are invited to share and celebrate the joys of reading.

Whether you’re picking up a book for the first time or your head is already stuck in one, there’s plenty of books, activities and events as part of the festivities.

On Thursday 12 November you’re invited to celebrate Australian Reading Hour. Stop what you’re doing for an hour, pick up a book and read to yourself or to the children in your life.

Join in, unwind, get inspired and find joy in books!

From islands, blue shores, bushland to the red heart – Australia Reads.

The Library is regularly purchasing new print and eBooks and we welcome book requests from staff and students.

Returning Library Books

We have many students eagerly awaiting the return of many of our books so they can enjoy them now and over the end of year break.

During remote learning the library extended all book loans until the 30 October, taking the pressure off students and families.   We are now asking for all students to search their bags, lockers and at home for any outstanding library books, and return them as soon as they can.

You can renew your books through John Cain Library by choosing the SSO (Single Sign On button) and your Compass sign in, or at the library desk.

If you have misplaced or lost a library book, please come and see our friendly library staff who will help you in tracking your lost library book. You can also email the Ask a Librarian email service.

Thank you
